01

The problem

Build-only work has a specific failure mode: the design is finished, so every ambiguity in it becomes a decision the developer makes silently and the designer discovers at review.

An agency's own site also carries an unusual burden — it is the proof of what they sell, so the finish has to be better than a client project, not worse.

02

The approach

Every gap in the design got asked about before it got built. Responsive behaviour between the two supplied breakpoints, empty and error states, and hover treatments were agreed in writing, not improvised.

That front-loaded conversation is the whole difference between a build handover that ends cleanly and one that ends in a long list of small corrections.

03

The build

Delivered to the agency's timeline with a component structure their team could pick up, and a written handover covering the decisions made in the gaps.

No client-facing involvement — the relationship stayed entirely theirs.
