- What is broken or missing, who it is for, and roughly when you need it live. Links to anything that exists already. That is plenty for a first reply.

- No, but a range helps me tell you fast whether the scope is realistic. "Not sure yet" is a perfectly acceptable answer.
- Do you take small projects?
- Yes — a single landing page or a one-week audit is fine. If it is genuinely too small to be worth either of our time, I will tell you and point you somewhere better.
